Victor A. Mirontschuk, FAIA
Chairman

As EDI's Founder and President, Victor also serves as Chairman and Chief Operating Officer. He oversees the firm’s operations in New York City, Texas and California. Victor’s architectural, planning and management skills have moved EDI to the forefront of planning, residential and commercial design. As an industry innovator, he is respected for his ability to develop planning and housing solutions that address changing social needs. Some of his many honors include being elevated to the College of the Fellows of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for his significant contributions to the profession, induction into the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Best in American Living Awards (BALA) Hall of Fame for his significant impact on the residential design and construction fields (both in 2016), and he was the recipient of Professional Builder and Remodeler’s 1990 Professional Achievement Award for his leadership in the design field.
 

Marvin H. Meltzer, AIA
Senior Architect

As Senior Architect with more than 54 years of experience, Marvin has worked extensively with residential multi-family including luxury, affordable, special needs, commercial-to-residential, community facilities and mixed-use projects. His list of awards includes the 2002 Lifetime Achievement Award for “an illustrious career that has added to the betterment of Architecture in New York City”. With substantial experience with state-City code and regulatory issues, his broad range of experience includes site feasibility, zoning analysis, programming, tax lot subdivision, schematic design, design development, contract documents, bidding and negotiations and construction administration. His prior firm, Meltzer/Mandl Architects is noted for the design of the first large scale office-to-residential conversion (1994) to go into construction under the then, new zoning laws for Lower Manhattan and for being the first to professionally self-certify a large-scale project with the NYC Department of Buildings, allowing the client to by-pass lengthy review procedures.

David J. Stuart, AIA
Senior Project Manager

As Senior Project Manager, David brings 25 years of experience in the design and realization of Multi-Family and Mixed-Use projects. He has excelled in directing design teams toward the successful completion of over 20 projects in the NYC area. His expertise in the design of housing for the New York City Market both in the Affordable Housing, as well as, market rate spheres is key asset to the firm.

Stuart processes a detailed understanding of NYC Zoning and the DOB approvals process and has extensive experience working with Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), Department of Design and Construction (DDC) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD). He has contributed to the design of a full range of architectural projects over his career: Institutional and Cultural projects, Urban Scale Mixed-Use
developments, Residential projects at all scales and Historic renovations. He has a proven talent for developing strong client relationships and understands the importance of timely and efficient performance.

 

Evan Yan, Associate AIA, LEED Green Associate
Senior Designer

As a Senior Designer,, Evan specializes in developing, designing and rebranding projects. Known for his minimalist, clean design approach, Evan is inspired by the combination of form and function. He revels in the process of design and strives for collaborative efforts to push designs towards higher quality. He is also eager to be involved with the managerial and financial aspects of all his projects to provide input where he can.

Evan’s background includes Project Management for a New Construction Studio; freelance architectural design, branding and working with independent supermarkets to move them towards green, responsible and healthy lifestyles. His obsession with design has also led him to design multiple large scale developments, single family residences, commercial interiors and even custom furniture.
